Good Change support for leaders, teams and organizations navigating change

Navigating Change and Transition

Team im Freien arbeitet körperlich mit Übergängen und Veränderung

Changes, growth, new roles or organisational restructuring often raise new questions. Collaboration needs to be redefined, familiar ways of working no longer provide the same sense of direction, and new paths are not yet visible.

I support people, teams and organisations in gaining clarity and identifying meaningful next steps. This work is not only about structures and processes, but also about the people who are shaping change and affected by it.

This work is particularly valuable when...

  • new roles, responsibilities or leadership positions are being taken on.

  • teams, departments or organisations need to realign or reshape how they work together.

  • change creates uncertainty and clarity is needed about the next steps.

  • collaboration, expectations or ways of working need to be redefined.

Ways of Working

Change and Transition Support
For organisational change, restructuring processes and longer-term transformation efforts. Together we create clarity, identify priorities and shape the next steps.

Team Development and Collaboration
When roles, expectations or ways of working need to be renegotiated and teams are looking for greater alignment, trust and effectiveness.

Individual Reflection and Support
A space for reflection, orientation and decision-making for leaders and professionals navigating important transitions, decisions or changes.

What Becomes Possible

  • Greater clarity and orientation in complex situations.

  • A deeper understanding of different perspectives and needs.

  • Stronger trust, connection and collaboration.

  • New possibilities for action and concrete next steps.

Save the Children

One department of Save the Children was going through a period of organisational restructuring. Over the course of a year, I supported the change process through a range of formats. The work focused on developing a shared vision and values as well as strengthening collaboration and communication.

“Bärbel guided our group through a demanding change process. What impressed me most was her ability to hold both the people and the shared purpose with equal attention. Her workshops felt open and well guided at the same time – a thoughtful balance that supported meaningful progress.”

How I Work

My work is not limited to structures and processes. I also pay attention to what often remains unspoken during periods of change: expectations, uncertainty, relationships and group dynamics.

Depending on the situation, I may include movement, voice work and embodied practices in the process. These approaches help people access perspectives, experiences and patterns that are often difficult to reach through discussion and analysis alone.

This creates space for connection, clarity and new possibilities for action.

Participants work with their specific questions and challenges.

Through collaborative work, it becomes clear how the current situation functions, where it's stuck, and what new courses of action can emerge.

Options are directly tested, and next steps are developed that can be continued in daily work. The collaboration can take place on an ad-hoc basis or over a defined period with individual leaders or entire teams, in the form of workshops, retreats, or one-on-one sessions.

Bärbel Becker

For many years, I have been supporting individuals, teams, and organizations through change processes.

My work combines clarity with experience and incorporates perception, body, and voice. This allows for new shared understanding and genuine collaboration to emerge within teams.

For individuals, it opens up a space to gain clarity and reconnect with what truly matters.

I enjoy working outdoors. This creates a different form of awareness and movement, where new possibilities become more easily visible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are new structures or processes often not enough?

Changes are often designed at the level of structures, roles, or processes. At the same time, habits, expectations, relationships, and established patterns often remain unchanged.

This creates a situation where much changes on paper, but little in everyday life. Sustainable change emerges when the nature of collaboration and collective action is also considered.

How does one find guidance in times of uncertainty?

Guidance doesn't come from quick answers. It often begins with collectively understanding the situation and perceiving what is truly important right now.

When different perspectives become visible and people contribute their experiences, clarity, shared alignment, and viable next steps often emerge.

How do new forms of collaboration emerge?

New forms of collaboration rarely emerge from directives alone. They develop when people can experience, test, and collectively discover what works in their specific situation.

That's why my work combines reflection, dialogue, and experience-based formats. This way, new forms of interaction can not only be discussed but also directly experienced.

Do you also work with individuals?

Yes. Change processes affect not only organizations and teams but also individuals.

I support individuals facing new tasks, redefining their roles, making important decisions, or seeking greater clarity for their next step.

Within a protected space, we examine the situation from different perspectives and explore what can provide guidance. Coaching can help gain clarity, prepare for decisions, and develop appropriate next steps.

For in-person meetings, I use a space in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Alternatively, I also provide support online.

What does supporting change processes involve?

Together, we'll examine the specific situation, relevant questions, and next steps.

Depending on your needs, the process may include reflection sessions, workshops, individual consultations, or collaborative learning formats. Clear agreements, milestones, and regular reviews help maintain direction, highlight successes and developments, and consciously shape the next steps.

This creates a framework where changes can not only be initiated but also supported over a longer period.
